ABOUT WILSON

Dave & Amy Wilson started building their company installing and servicing heating and air-conditioning equipment with one helper and one truck working out of a rented garage over 40 years ago. They both were very committed to developing a successful business and making happy customers. As the business grew the company’s customer base developed to over 5000 people Through their own sale, as well as installing and servicing for the south suburban Montgomery Wards stores, Gee Lumber stores, Nicor Energy Services, and many new home builders.

As the jobs, employees, trucks, and all that goes with it grew, the business was relocated to the first main branch on Southwest Hwy in Oak Lawn. Then, in the early 80's the business outgrew that location and relocated to bigger locations; first in Alsip and then in Frankfort. They then joined Local #73 Cook County, Local #265 Will County and Local #20 Lake County Indiana.

Dave Wilson Jr. joined in full time during the late 70’s. He started in the Replacement and Service markets and then focused on developing the New Construction market with Builders such as Stephens & Hayes, and Hartz Construction during the mid 80’s building boom. Later his wife Joanne joined on full time as the company comptroller. The 90’s brought on new changes again as Bill Sawallisch Sr. and Bill Sawallisch Jr. formerly of Prestige Heating (a leading company in the New Construction market) joined forces and continued to develop New Construction growth as well as starting a Commercial Installation and Service Department. Presently we are authorized Trane, Aprilaire, Honywell, Desert Aire, & Mitsubishi Dealers. The year 2005 brought us new changes and challenges with the addition of our West branch. We welcomed Jeff Kaminskas and his crew on board. Jeff’s experience includes twenty years at Tamarack Heating and Cooling in Plainfield. Jeff and his crew worked among many builders, exclusively for Spring Realty/Sharp Homes and Phoenix Developers.

Jeff’s qualifications include union sheet metal workers schooling in sheet metal layout and fabrication, service and test and air balance. His crew is comprised of highly skilled union schooled sheet metal workers and service technicians specializing in new construction as well as replacement. Jeff and his crew bring passion to get the job done right, according to local and national codes, in a timely and neat manner. This ultimately results in an efficient system for the customer.Our West branch will include expert residential and commercial systems as well as residential replacement. Scott Wills will be head of the residential replacement work.

No matter how big the business grows or where it is located we never forgot the first principal of how the business was built; MAKE THE CUSTOMER HAPPY!!! To this day we have never, ever, ever had a customer complaint that we did not rectify to their complete satisfaction.

Wilson Heating Air-Conditioning & Sheet Metal Co. has established a strong spot in the market place with annual sales reaching $6,000,000.00 Over 70 employees and 20 vans gives us the ability to respond to our customers with fast and efficient service and to be rated as one of the best in the business.
